Since 2003, Social Islamic Development (SID) has been a lifeline for Malawi’s most marginalised communities, founded by visionaries driven by faith and a commitment to humanitarian service. Malawi, known for its vibrant culture, faces deep healthcare challenges, especially in rural areas where access to medical facilities is scarce. In response, SID has established both static and mobile clinics, delivering essential healthcare to underserved populations.
SID’s mission is holistic, offering not only treatment but also nutrition support, preventive care, and vital interventions such as preventing mother-to-child HIV transmission. These efforts are guided by a dedicated team, including Chairman Ashraf Caratella and Secretary Maulana Qadri, whose leadership strengthens SID’s impact.
Partnerships are central to SID’s philosophy, amplifying its mission to make healthcare accessible to all. SID’s journey is a call to action, reminding us of the power of compassion in creating a healthier, more equitable world. Through ongoing efforts, SID continues to empower communities across Malawi, bridging gaps in healthcare and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
